The call sees only your work. ## Key facts - Shyo is a macOS menu bar app. It makes a window called “Shyo” with a live copy of your screen, minus the private apps you choose, notifications, desktop icons and the Dock. Audio is never saved or sent anywhere. ## Frequently asked questions ### What do I share in Zoom, Meet or Teams? Share the window called “Shyo” instead of your entire screen. Shyo makes it by itself during calls: a live copy of your screen with your private apps, notifications and clutter left out. ### What if I share my entire screen anyway? If you share your entire screen from Chrome, Edge, Arc or Brave, Shyo notices: it hides your private apps until you stop, and asks you to switch to the “Shyo” window. Other apps don't let Shyo see that you're sharing your whole screen, so there, share the “Shyo” window instead. ### Do my private apps disappear for me too? No. Nothing changes on your screen. Shyo only changes what the people watching can see. ### Does Shyo record or upload my screen? No. The clean copy is made live on your Mac and is never saved or sent anywhere. ### Can I use ChatGPT or Claude during a call? Yes. Shyo's Web screen opens ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any site you add. Like your notes, it stays on your screen and out of the share, so you can look something up while the call sees only your work. Please don't use it in exams, interviews or anywhere else help isn't allowed. ### Which Macs does it work on? Any Mac running macOS 26 Tahoe or later. Shyo asks for Screen Recording permission, which it needs to make the clean copy of your screen. ### How does the licence work? A lifetime licence is $9, paid once, and works on 2 Macs. After you buy, your licence key is on the thank-you page and in your email: paste it into Shyo. Moving to a new Mac? Remove the old one in Shyo's Settings, or in your account on shyo.app. ### How do updates work? Shyo checks for updates and tells you when a new version is ready.
